The tales of Arnabu revolve around a family of rabbits, with Baba rabbit, known as Abu and his partner Arna. One of their offspring is the star of the tales, Arnabu, his experiences will guide the children through their daily development.
Years ago, when my children were very young, they used to spend most of their playtime with their friends at our home. The only way to calm them down after being so rowdy was to tell them about the adventures of Arnabu. With a snack in one hand and a soft drink in the other, they sat enthralled and even request them as bedtime stories.
Arnabu, who used to come home at any time, day or night, always played the part of the hero in demonstrating to the children some of life's educational and moral principles.
Some days, one of the Arnabu's friends would play a supporting role as the hero's sidekick. On others, some of Arnabu's human friends would play supporting roles. Their thoughts and actions would highlight different aspects for children to learn from.
The number of these inspirational short stories grew and grew over the years. The following is a small selection that have been illustrated in this first edition for young readers.
