The book is an autobiographical novel dealing mainly with the early years of the autor and his adolescence. Through the eyes of a child the author give a panorama of the life under the dictatorship in late '60 and the beginnings of the '70, the most fierce and ruthless period of Albanian life under communist regime.

It is considered the main novel of the author. Through the story of an Albanian village from the XVI century to the end of the XX century the author describes the Albanian way of life and the causes that brought to conflicts and deep divisions especially during and after the WW2.

A young pianist experienced his first love in a turbulent way without understanding at first that is huge diference between sex and romantic love. His relationship with a coaetan girl passes through a hard period. Another girl enters between them in a impudently way trying to conquer the boyfriend of her classmate. 

A group of Albanian children bored from the life in their country decide to seek happiness abroad, in the West and escape from home. Hiding nder an Italian military vehicle they embarked in a ferry-boat and arrived in Italy where experience many sufferings and adventures to understand in the end of their odyssey that there is no happiness waiting for them.

Two children, brother and sister, whose father is dead and mother recovered in a psychiatric hospital, are victims of the fate and the frauds that their uncle and his wife carried to sent them in a public orphanage and reclaim with ilegal means the house where the children were living. 

A 14-year-old boy and his sister are victims of a harsh politically verdict towards their father during the communist regime in Albania. Together with their mother they are deported in a remote village. The mother is constrained to do hard work in the fields and they live in detestable conditions.

The book was published in 2002 and won the Silver Pen a prize of the Ministry of Culture. The relations of parents with their son and his close friend, a dog called Julius Caesar are a serious problem in an healthy Albanian.

This novel is dedicated to foreign women who married Albanian men and lived in Albania during XX century often in harsh conditions, suffering persecution, deportation in remote places and imprisonment.

This book is a continuation of the "Seeking happiness". Spartak one of the main characters of the novel Seeking happiness decides to find his mother who is living in Greece after a forced marriage with an unknown person who results a criminal and drug-dealer.

Two children, brother and sister, become testimonies of e difficult situation in their family while their parents are at the brink of divorce. The children decide to keep tight their family and to not allow their parents to be divorced.

During a underwater teaching practice the classmates of a grammar school are kidnapped by a submarine and taken hostage in a secret military base. This military base is constructed by a dictatorial state to undertake within e short time an aggression towards some democratic countries.

Viktor Canosinaj is born in 1960 in Vlora city close to the Sazani island where his family lived at that time. His father was serving there from 1953 at a naval military base. In 1965 the author's family moved to Durrës the main port of Albania and the second biggest city where the author spent his childhood and part of his adulthood.
